Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of accolades including the Golden Globe Award, and sixteen NAACP Image Award. Since the mid 80s she has been working on film and television. She's received many awards, including the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is born in New York New York. Her home was Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett was able to move with her younger sister to St. Petersburg Florida at age five in order to be near their mother as she was divorced from their dad. Bassett was in high school when she saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of being an actor had come true. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama granted an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main characters as Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
